DEMOCRACY!

They started to frack and the damage has begun. Stop it now! Governments do not care about PEOPLE.

– WE MUST FIGHT FRACKING BECAUSE WE WILL WIN.
– WE MUST BE SEEN TO WIN.

Because

Governments must listen to PEOPLE.

A green economy is an economy without war. Our present system is a war economy.

Since history began wars have been fought for land: for raw materials and treasures of the earth which are finite, – and for the exploitation of people; the world is run for cheap labour. Our economic system makes everybody poorer and a few people rich: the poor are getting poorer and the rich are getting fewer.

The battle against climate change is a chance to save the planet for DEMOCRACY.

  1. Hi, I am a volunteer with an organization dedicated to saving the Orangutan in its rainforest habitat. We appreciate all efforts to link actions to create a sustainable world, especially in the fashion industry.

We are a small, education based organization, promoting alternatives to palm oil plantations. Our efforts include micro- lending to small businesses as well as building demonstration sites to encourage alternative crops for small farmers. We also engage and educate the local population about conflict resolution strategies.

Most importantly, Orang Utan Republik has a scholarship program for forestry, biology and veterinary students designed to create a generation of advocates dedicated to the preservation of the rainforest and its inhabitants.

We are having a fundraiser in Los Angeles, CA on October 19th. We need items for our raffle and silent auction. A gift card or other items from your Los Angeles store would be greatly appreciated. It would be a wonderful boost to have your support!

    Please check out the website:

Welcome to the Orang Utan Republik Foundation

    Thank You,

  2. Hi – and thanks for some thought provoking comments and championing of action on climate change. It’s a huge boost to necessary action (and our morale!)

On the 7th September, two weeks ahead of the People’s Climate March (which is on the 21st) there are going to be screenings of Bill McKibben’s film Disruption, created to help build momentum for the march. We think it’s going to be awesome, and are organising a screening in London – it’s going to be motivating and great.

We’re pretty desperate for any help we can get with publicity on this though, so please feel free to shout it from the rooftops, or drop us a line if you’d like the opportunity to help make this something huge!

  3. Sorry! Totally forgot to say there’s more on this film here: http://watchdisruption.com/

We are currently the only UK screening, so easy to find!!

  4. The Campaign for Air Pollution Public Inquiry was set up because it seems that this is the only reasonable and effective way of exposing the blatant corruption which leads to ineffective air quality strategies.
It has come about mainly from the Mayor of Londons failed strategies but has now included things like the improper process leading to incineration.
I noticed that you have been campaigning about fracking and this could easily be included in the remit for a Public Inquiry.
I would be very grateful for your support
