Revolutionary fashion designer and campaigner Vivienne Westwood has today been announced as the final headliner for the festival, talking to  NSA whistle-blower Edward Snowden via web link on Saturday 14 and as an edited rebroadcast on Sunday.

Curated by musician and author Pat Kane, FutureFest is a weekend of immersive experiences, compelling performances and radical speakers that is taking place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15th March 2015 London Bridge. The programme will focus on six themes: thrills, music, money, machines, democracy and two rapidly-developing cities in Africa.

At the festival Vivienne Westwood will be contributing to the future of democracy theme and interviewing Edward Snowden as well as discussing the end of capitalism. With only four weeks to go until FutureFest, Westwood’s addition marks the release of the final schedule, which can be viewed at www.futurefest.org.

The FutureFest line-up now includes: Vivienne Westwood, Edward Snowden, George Clinton, Jon Ronson, Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, Matthew Herbert, Owen Jones, Ije Nwokorie, John Lanchester and many more.

The festival will also feature the world premiere of Neurosis, a virtual reality thrill ride developed by Thrill Laboratory and Middlesex University; the Sweetshop of the Future, a tasting experience by chocolatier Paul A Young and food futurologist Morgaine Gaye; a blind robot and interactive robot companion; and mixologists Mr Lyan will be prescribing alcohol as part of a fantastical future government initiative.
