Climate Change = Mass Extinction.

We’re supposed to stop emissions by 60% now if we’re going to save ourselves. Are governments primed to respond to the challenge? Is there any chance of them acting quick enough, I want to talk to John Sauven. How much can we hope people go over governments and get on with the job?

This is encouraging: Trump has withdrawn support for the Climate Advisory Panel, a committee who gather data on climate change which is translated to local level so it can be of practical use to people which is very important. However, as of January 1st 2018, the group reorganised with support from the Earth Institute, Columbia University and New York state. Richard Moss, former chairman of the Federal Advisory Committee for National Climate Assessment says, “There’s been an upwelling of support for the committee, because states and cities and businesses want access to information that helps them prepare. Climate research needs to be connected to society if knowledge is going to be useful.’

  1. Hi Vivienne,

Charles here. As a former New York resident, and eco warrior, this is really lifts my spirits.

I am student of the history of art with a minor concentration in philosophy and am a tremendous fan of your activitsim and clothing. In fact today after a visit to the Alte Nationalgalerie I stopped by the Berlin World’s End store to say a friend who works there, as we got to talking and I had an idea.

This spring I’d like to organize a performance of your Active Resistantce to Propaganda manifesto in Berlin. I think it’d be a great way to get people to engage with the museums, which as you know, in Berlin are often quite empty (a blessing and a curse), and spread your message. A few friends of mine, also Art Lovers (historians/dancers/students), are interested so I think it should be quite a fun show to put on.

If you have the time please do reach out to me somehow (can you see my email here? or maybe leave a blog post?) and let me know if you are okay with this.
