Everything is connected. By understanding the politics that drive the financial machine which causes Climate Change you will determine to fight the revolution. We need to know who our rulers are, we need to know who we are fighting if we are going to help build the alternative world government. We will start by adopting the political analyst Noam Chomsky as a spokesman for Climate Revolution. From time to time we will derive specific observations from his work.
\nHe explains how the media works in the service of the rulers, the people who own the society, and the background which gives rise to it.

The prevailing conception of democracy came about through the idea of responsible men and we call it the Liberal Democratic Theory. It says that the public don’t understand what’s best for them \u2013 only the “responsible men” understand. Carry on reading – you’ll start understanding who the “responsible men” and that the men of the media are part of this group.
\nOne of it\u2019s theorists Walter Lippman argued in the early twentieth century that<\/p>\n

The respectable men have a moral obligation to tame the herd. So they don\u2019t cause trouble.
\nThe function of the herd is to be spectators except when we need them to vote.<\/p>\n

Education of specialists includes those who end up running the press. (The following insight comes from Vivienne after reading Aldous Huxley: \u201cApe and Essence\u201d) They feel superior because through their education they feel they are clever enough to understand the order of things \u2013 all those theories they learnt. They think once they find the key to something they know it, they dont realize you know nothing until you throw away the key. But the key gives them a formula, it gives them power. Their belief in Order (not in people) is ruthless because it gives them an advantage intelectually and materially over other men. The belief becomes part of their ego and it’s in their vested interest. And once they’ve got hold of a stupid theory of Order like the liberal democratic theory nothing can prize it from them. It belongs to them, they own it. They know they are indispensible to the rulers, more clever, more respected.<\/p>\n

(The underlings in the media are tasked to produce distraction for the herd \u2013 in case they\u2019re not bewildered enough).<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why our whistleblowers are so important for all of us \u2013 to know the difference between the official view and the facts.<\/p>\n

I was at my friend Jaquetta’s wedding when a person pointed out to me \u2013 that man, John Micklethwaite who runs the “Economist” is extremely powerful; if he were in a room with Obama and the others, he’s the one Obama would want to talk to. I had the privilege of sitting next to him at the dinner and he told me there is no fundamental connection between the financial system and climate change. To him economics is just a mathematical mechanism, an Order that can be tweaked and manipulated by specialists. He’s very nice but actually dangerous. So far I haven’t been able to change his mind.<\/p>\n

PROPAGANDA<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe Jesuits carried out Propaganda on their foreign missions. I don\u2019t know to what degree they blatantly admitted their purpose but from the beginning Propaganda was defined as: to promote falsehood and supress truth. The falsehood was referred to as a higher truth than the truth. They believed in Order \u2013 that we should all conform to the same idea; the idea the rulers want. (in their case the Catholic church)<\/p>\n

One method of Propaganda \u2013 getting us to believe what our rulers want \u2013 is to promote (blow up and falsify some information) and to suppress (squash or ignore) true information.
\nNoam Chomsky remembers everything and is able to quote facts and statistics from throughout the decades of his career. In MEDIA CONTROL<\/span> he gives an example from 1986 to show how the press promotes or supresses information so as to serve the interests of the rulers.<\/p>\n

In May 1986, the memoires of the released Cuban prisoner, Armando Valladares, came out. They quickly became a media sensation. The press used his allegations of torture to attack their enemy Castro. In repeated interviews they whipped up propaganda, referring to Cuba as a hell run by a bloody sadist.
\nValladares, now a hero, was appointed the US representative to the UN Human Rights Commission where he defended American atrocities in El Salvador and Guatemala.<\/p>\n
