Fact and Opinion – Humanitarian Crisis

Fact:

‘Hundreds of people have been killed, and tens of thousands forced from their homes, by monsoon flooding in northern India, Nepal and Bangladesh. The Red Cross say: “This is fast becoming one of the most serious humanitarian crises this region has seen in years, with millions of people at risk from severe food shortages and diseases caused by polluted water.”’

Opinion:

Natural catastrophe increases in frequency and intensity. This is an example of the extent to which climate change (CC) is in operation.
