We spent some time with Clive Menzies at Occupy and spoke about a number of things – his criticisms of our financial and banking system was of particular interest. He helped us understand the fundamental nature – and fundamental flaws – in the system.

As Clive says, ‘We have the problem of an economic system which demands exponential growth which is both unsustainable and damaging to the planet on which we all depend.’ Something we’ve been talking about for a while and we agree absolutely.

We want everyone, including politicians and decision makers, to question the status quo, to investigate and think for themselves. We all need to do this if we want to make the world a better, more human place for us all to live.

First, if you want to understand how the banking system evolved – and where it is today – this video, Money as Debt, is essential viewing.

Then, please read Clive’s presentation, Revolution or Evolution, an introduction to the system of fractional reserve banking and a possible road map for the future.
