Power and Resistance are interdependent
Financial capitalism, hyper-consumerism, social inequality, exploitation of natural resources, the misery of education, over-population, the profit over people economy, Boko Haram, Greece, the Rainforest, the Front National and Europe.
Do not analyse one without looking at the other; be prepared for inconsistency; contradiction is the essence of the universe (Fernando Pessoa). The only comfort you will find is reason – make wisely use of it (read Marcus Aurelius).
What are we trying to say?
We use new technologies, almost all of us, almost all the time. Google’s generators need electric power; without power stations no electric power. The power station runs on coal; coal has to be mined. Coal mines are natural resources exploiters and exploit under-privileged humans as cheap labour. They need heavy machinery to function. Machines are made of metals, extracted under horrific conditions. The result is climate change, war and mass migration. Politicians are not interested in solving today’s contradictions, they use them to win elections and referendums.
We need more Resistance! – We need a Green Economy!
