After the huge success two years ago of our limited edition knot-wrap, Climate Revolution’s collaboration with Lush raising funds to support grass roots anti-fracking groups, we decided to re-join Lush  along with War on Want in the fight against TTIP – a dirty secret trade deal being negotiated between the European Union and the US.

The campaign against the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (or TTIP) is one of the most vibrant – and important – movements seen for years. All of us who care about democracy and protecting our environmental and social standards must join in the fight. You can find out all about TTIP here: http://www.waronwant.org//TTIP  and download a full report.

Following the product launch in mid-September, Lush shops in 14 countries across Europe hosted anti-TTIP events and sold the limited edition “Dirty Deal Showder” – a shower powder with a box designed by Vivienne especially for the campaign.

And now the results are in: 100% of the profits, £60,000, were divided between UK campaign groups War on Want and Global Justice Now and the five national platforms we identified in Central and Eastern Europe as being strong campaigns that could most benefit from the extra injection of a little cash. They are leading national anti-TTIP campaigns in: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia.

We want to support these campaigns because of their effectiveness and because they prove the resistance to TTIP is alive and kicking from the East to the West of the EU! Don’t let TTIP deregulate markets on both sides of the Atlantic and undermine our democracy!

The Showder campaign is now over, so what can you do? Join more than 3 million people and sign the European initiative to stop TTIP: http://www.waronwant.org/say-no-ttip .
