Dear Vivienne, found this absolutely fascinating and I’m not sure if you’ll get to this this but I wanted to ask if you’ve read any Aleister Crowley? I’ve never been much interested in the occult but I was reading this incredible biography with a passage about Crowley and I bought a copy of Crowley’s ‘Magick in Theory & Practice’ and just find the ideas in it absolutely fascinating. About the value of nature and the universe and all this stuff and how it’s all related to science. His core belief is founded on the idea of knowing yourself and your true purpose, and he said that art is the highest ideal or highest form of Magick. I know that you don’t believe in god but just wondered if you’ve read any Crowley as if you have, what do you think of his ideas? Because a lot of his ideas seem compatible with some of yours.
